Integrating Art & Architecture...
Blending creativity with careful planning and coordination delivers spaces that come alive and communicate. Not attached after the fact or selected based on "what will fit", James Nowak draws inspiration from the architectural concept. Then, through a process that coordinates with all phases of project design, he and his team create an integrated art installation (view slideshow or example images) that is a fundamental aspect of the space. This process follows a sequence.
Step 1: Wireframe
Here, the architectural drawings are reviewed and design preferences discussed. James Nowak then creates a design concept informed by these elements. This concept is illustrated by a digital wireframe. The wireframe is a two dimensional representation of the artistic concept.
Step 2: Digital Rendering
The digital rendering, while still a 2 dimensional image, conveys color and depth, a truer visual image of design as installed. Shadow and depth allow designers to understand relationships between the elements and tailor both the installation and it's surroundings for best effect.
Step 3: Hot Shop Production
Creating the glass that will bring life to the project. Artistic inspiration takes real physical form. . . and that for will fit perfectly.
Step 4: Installation
James Nowak's coordinated process comes to fruition here. The form and beauty implied before becomes real,... dazzling!
