The Fluted Aquarium series is great example of Nowak's baroque surface decorative techniques. This piece is a virtual ‘tour de force’ of bold cane working and murini styles which would rival any in the world. Interlaced streams of irridecsent dichoric glass and the filligranee canes create abstract impression of tropical gardens or perhaps Neptune's secret oasis. Despite the viewer's interpretation, the piece remains everchanging, interacting with light and mood to create new patterns. Beautiful blue amethyst interior glows as vivid yellow and orange bands curve around the exterior. A turquoise trim accents the rich crisp surface designs.
